Ridgewater Energy have launched the Dorset Warm Homes: Local Grant, a new scheme funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and delivered in partnership with Dorset Council and BCP Council.
The initiative provides funded energy-saving upgrades—such as insulation, heating improvements, solar panels, and air-source heat pumps—for eligible homeowners and private renters.
Residents may qualify if they live in a specific postcode, receive certain benefits, or have a low household income AND their property must have an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating of D to G.
“This scheme comes at a crucial time. It will help local residents cut energy costs, improve their comfort and health, and combat climate change.” Peter Bywater, Managing Director.
